Building Bridges (BridgEUrope)
On the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the Berlin wall fall, in a moment where the public discourse has now shifted to extreme-right ideologies with undemocratic forces spreading through society, Building Bridges proposes five public encounters in different cities for artists, civil servants, activists, thinkers, researchers, workers, migrants and citizens from across Europe through which to think about the role of walls in the European recent past and present.
CCR proudly participated as supporting organisation in the project, by organising and moderating the 3rd Citizens' Assembly in municipalities of Thermi, and Thessaloniki, GR. The goal was to explore the challenges, barriers, and opportunities for citizen participation— especially among young people— in both rural and urban contexts.
